On Thursday, Zimmerman reportedly was at a home in the 500 block of West Avenue A, when she kicked open the victim’s front door, an arrest affidavit stated. Zimmerman reportedly screamed that she needed her Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program card.
The victim then told Zimmerman she was breaking and entering and attempted to close the door on the woman, but the victim was hit several times in the process.
The victim’s boyfriend helped the victim close the door, but Zimmerman returned twice to the home and banged on the door while screaming, the affidavit stated.
Police, who responded about 7 p.m. Thursday, noticed the victim had a swollen forehead and her right index finger was injured.
In an unrelated incident, Guinn arraigned Shane Kyle Higgins on Saturday on two charges of abandoning or endangering a child by criminal negligence. Guinn set his bonds at $15,000.
