Dog attack leaves one child dead, another injured

UPDATE: At 6:30 p.m., Killeen police said a 2-year-old boy died from injuries in the dog attack and an 8-year-old is in serious condition at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.


Police are reporting that a dog attacked and injured two children in a Killeen neighborhood.

According to initial reports, the attacks occurred in a neighborhood near Iduma Elementary School just before 5 p.m. this afternoon.

Two children were injured, one of the was 8 years old. Initial radio traffic indicated that on of the victims had a "severe eye injury". One of the victims is being transported to Darnall Army Medical Center.
