CRIME

A shooting in the 600 block of Parmer Avenue, a residential area near downtown Killeen, sent three people to the hospital early Tuesday morning, according to Killeen police spokeswoman Ofelia Miramontez.

At 12:36 a.m., officers responded to a shots-fired call. When police got there, they saw an SUV with a woman suffering from a gunshot wound in the driver’s seat, Miramontez said. That woman was brought to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple with injuries that were not life-threatening.

While at the scene, officers discovered two more people were shot, Miramontez said. One man was brought to Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights, while the other was brought to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple. Neither suffered any life-threatening injuries, Miramontez said.

“The case is ongoing and remains under investigation,” Miramontez said.
