Former soldier sentenced to 30 years in sexual abuse case

WACO — An ex-soldier was sentenced in a federal court in Waco on Tuesday for aggravated sexual abuse of a child.

Former U.S. Army Sgt. David J. Adams, 38, was sentenced to 30 years in prison, according to court documents.

An indictment stated that the assaults occurred in Bell County between 2006 and 2007. Adams victim was younger than 12, the indictment stated.
