A Fort Hood officer will face jail time and dismissal from the Army for videotaping female soldiers without their permission at a California base.
A military judge sentenced Capt. Tyler F. Ho, 36th Engineer Brigade, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, to seven years confinement, forfeiture of all pay and dismissal from the Army after a court-martial that began Tuesday.
Ho was convicted of 48 incidents of videotaping of female soldiers without their permission and nine specifications of unlawfully viewing the private area of females and two specifications of conduct unbecoming an officer. The violations occurred at Fort Irwin, Calif., according to Fort Hood officials.
Sgt. 1st Class Michael Rosado was also sentenced this week in an unrelated case. Rosado, 1st Air Calvary Brigade, 1st Calvary Division,was sentenced Friday to 25 years in prison, reduction of rank to private, forfeiture of all pay and a dishonorable discharge.
Rosado was found guilty of rape, aggravated assault, assault consummated by battery, child endangerment and disobeying a superior officer.
