Grand jury indicts man in domestic dispute

BELTON — Christopher William Mann, 28, of Killeen, was indicted Wednesday by a Bell County grand jury on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with bodily injury.

According to an arrest affidavit, a Killeen police officer responded to a domestic dispute in the 1000 block of North 10th Street on May 16. The officer observed a woman with a black, bloody, swollen left eye. The victim said Mann struck her with an aluminum baseball bat, a wooden baseball bat and a wrench and complained of pain in her head, abrasions on her ear, and bruises on both arms, her left leg and her back.

A man fitting Mann’s description attempted to jump a fence but was apprehended and taken into custody. If convicted, Mann could serve two to 20 years in prison.

The grand jury also indicted:

  • Maximillian Wiener, 23, of Killeen, on a charge of evading arrest with a motor vehicle.
  • Alana Marie Lopez, 27, of Temple, on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, 4 grams or more.
  • Donovan Juwan Garnett, 27, of Temple, on a charge of possession of cocaine, less than 1 gram.
  • Rodney Dwayne Lewis, 36, of Temple, on a charge of possession of cocaine, 4 grams or more.
  • Devonte Tyrell Taplin, 19, of Temple, on charges of possession of cocaine, less than 1 gram, and burglary of a habitation with intent to commit other felony.
  • Andrea Denise Acosta, 19, of Temple, on a charge of burglary of a habitation.
  • Laydine Kinsasha Edwenia McNeil, 21, of Temple, on a charge of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit other felony.
  • Terrell Deion Lowe, 20, of Temple, on a charge of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit theft.
  • Joann Bassa, 38, of Little River, on a charge of assault on a uniformed security guard.
  • Danny Leslie Waltman, 35, of Troy, on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
  • Garry Eugene Bradley, 26, of Killeen, on a charge of failure to comply with registration requirements.
  • Christopher Lee Wenger, 30, of Belton, on a charge of evading arrest with a motor vehicle.
  • Xavier Cordell Anderson, 22, of Killeen, on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by felon.
  • Jocelito Cosme-Gonzalez, 51, of Killeen, on charges of theft of metal and burglary of a building.
  • Daniel Ezkiel Mendez, 21, of Killeen, on a charge of burglary of a habitation.
  • Devin Michael Sanders, 17, of Killeen, on a charge of burglary of a habitation.
  • Clyde Maurice Williams, 29, of Waco, on a charge of possession of marijuana.
  • Rashawn Latrice Jefferson, 23, of Killeen, on a charge of possession of cocaine, less than 1 gram.
  • Markel Deion Witty, 24, of Killeen, on a charge of possession of cocaine, 1 gram or more.
  • Carolyn Dossey Flowers, 45, of Troy, on a charge of securing execution of a document by deception.
  • Pedro Velasquez Martinez, 46, of Temple, on a charge of assault on family/household member with previous conviction.
  • Jon Heflin Miller Jr., 42, of Belton, on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more.
  • Cashlely Taylor Moore, 30, of Killeen, on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more.
  • Jerrold White, 62, of Belton, on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more.
  • Frances Laura Maddux, 46, of Rogers, on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more.
  • Johnny Dennon Noble, 32, of Temple, on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more.
  • Thomas Dean Quinn, 47, of Belton, on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more.
