A Harker Heights resident held a man at gunpoint after the resident woke up to the sound of someone rummaging through the home.

Keegan Jackson, 19, entered a residence in the 300 block of Indian Oaks Drive about 11:27 p.m. Tuesday, according to Harker Heights Police Department news release.

The resident confronted Jackson with a firearm, holding him at gunpoint until officers arrived on scene, the release stated. Officers found Jackson with several items from the residence, which he stuffed in a pillow case.

Jackson was charged with burglary of a habitation, criminal mischief and possession of marijuana. He also has outstanding warrants out of Brazos County for failure to identify.

No bonds have been set at this time.
