HARKER HEIGHTS — Police are searching for suspects after a man was hospitalized Thursday following a morning drive-by shooting in northern Harker Heights.

Harker Heights police officers responded to a call of shots fired at 1:10 a.m. at a residence in the 200 block of West Valley Road, according to a news release. A man was found inside the residence with a gunshot wound to the lower body.

He was transported by ambulance to Scott & White Hospital in Temple with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

As police continue to investigate, detectives ask anyone with information about the shooting to call the Harker Heights Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at 254-953-5400.
