NOLANVILLE — Two people are in custody after a high-speed chase that began near Belton and ended in Nolanville Thursday afternoon.
Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Harpin Myers said multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in the chase.
The chase started when state troopers attempted to pull over a vehicle on Farm-to-Market 439 near Belton on a warrant issued by the Temple Police Department.
The vehicle fled, moving westbound at speeds as high as 100 mph before hitting a spike strip.
The vehicle slowed down and came to a stop in the parking lot of a Shell gas station off Central Texas Expressway in Nolanville, Myers said.
Myers also said the vehicle struck a state trooper’s vehicle, but there were no major injuries to any of the involved parties. Two people were in the vehicle, and both were taken into custody, Myers said.
Their names were not released as of press time.
