Michael Robert Martinez, 30, of Holland, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of assault with bodily injury in Bell County district court Monday morning.

That charge was reduced from a more serious felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, which stemmed from a Dec. 26 incident.

According to an arrest affidavit, Martinez was in a vehicle with another individual when he pointed a gun at the man and told him to drive and chase down unknown people, according to an arrest affidavit.

Martinez was sentenced to four months in Bell County Jail.
