A Houston man who police said forced a girl under 18 years old to engage in prostitution was indicted by a Bell County grand jury Wednesday.

Jonathan Ernesto Martinez, 25,  is being held in the Bell County Jail on $100,000 bond. He is charged with compelling prostitution under 18 years old, a felony, and the possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.

On Nov. 21, police interviewed a girl who said Martinez threatened to harm her if she didn’t prostitute herself and give him the money from it, according to an affidavit for arrest.

The threats had been going on for a matter of months, according to the girl, and Martinez threatened to “tie her to the bed and kill her if she tried to leave,” police said.

Indicted in unrelated cases were:

John Pimental, 54, on a charge of burglary of a building.

Elvae Demar Harris, 43, on a charge of assault of a public servant. Harris was charged as a repeat offender.

Guillermo Garcia, 47, of Austin on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram.

Jacob Michael Baca, 21, of Fort Hood on a charge of sexual assault.

Nina Latrese Brown, 36, on a charge of theft of property $2,500 or more but less than $30,000.

Stephanie Marie Davis, 35, on a charge of theft of property $2,500 or more but less than $30,000.

Matthew Edward Mullens, 44, of Killeen on a charge of possession of a controlled substance 4 grams or more.

Christopher Maurice Johnson, 19, of Belton on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance 4 grams or more.

Kaitlyn Marie Scott, 19 of Belton on a charge of possession of a controlled substance 4 grams or more.

Andrew Tyler Johnson, 27, of Killeen on a charge of assault on a family or household member by strangulation. 

Norman Preston Smith, Jr., 35, of Killeen on a charge of assault on a family member by strangulation. Smith was charged as a repeat offender.

Aaron Eugene Jones, 31, of Killeen on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle.

James Tyrone Crathers, 19, of Killeen on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle.

 Joseph Michael Pritchard, 26, of Fort Hood on a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle.

Corey Labon Jackson, 47, of Killeen on a charge of burglary of a building.

Christine Lynn Hammettt, 27, of Killeen on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Jeysen Cain, 17, of Killeen on one charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and one charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle.
