A 34-year-old inmate is facing additional felony charges after he attacked a Killeen police officer, according to an arrest affidavit.

On Saturday, Isaac Clayton Duncan, an inmate in the Killeen City Jail, reportedly requested to speak to a police officer. Duncan asked to be placed in a single-person cell, according to an arrest affidavit.

When his request was turned down, Duncan refused to return to his original cell and sat on the floor, refusing to move, the affidavit stated.

When an officer attempted to pull Duncan back into his cell, Duncan reportedly kicked and kneed him in the head, causing visible injuries. Duncan was placed in an isolation cell, the affidavit stated.

According to jail records, Duncan was booked in the Bell County Jail on Sunday.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke on Monday on a charge of assault on a public servant, a third-degree felony. His bail was set at $100,000.

On Monday, Cooke also arraigned:

Edwardo Lee Salas Castillo, 25, on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm. His bail was set at $50,000

Tabathia Monforto, 22, on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, 4 or more grams, but less than 200 grams. Her bail was set at $50,000.
