The Killeen High School Student caught with a gun on campus last week was identified as 17 year-old Jonathon Allen Hampton.

Hampton was arrested after a student reported seeing Hampton reach into a backpack and place his hand around the handle of a gun, according to an arrest affidavit.

Police not only recovered a gun and ammunition from the backpack, but also found a ski mask, the affidavit stated.

Hampton was arraigned Monday on a third-degree felony charge of possessing a prohibited weapon by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke. Hampton is currently in custody in Bell County Jail, and his bond is set at $100,000.
