A Killeen man was arraigned Tuesday after allegedly stabbing a man a dozen times, according to an arrest affidavit.
Adrian Brown, 24, was arrested Monday when officers responded to a burglary in the 4400 block of Abigail Drive, the report stated.
He was arraigned Tuesday by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the report, when officers approached the dwelling they found the victim lying on the floor and Brown over him covered in blood.
Police discovered multiple stab wounds to the victim’s chest, neck and scalp and a knife on the floor nearby.
The report stated the victim was taken to a local hospital and Brown was detained.
In a written statement to police, Brown said the victim told him to leave the residence.
“Brown stated that he had nowhere to go, so he grabbed a knife and pushed (the victim) with his hands, and the knife,” according to the report.
“Brown stated that when he realized that (the victim) was bleeding, he threw the knife down.”
Brown’s bail is set at $500,000.
