A Killeen man is behind bars after allegedly burglarizing a habitation Tuesday morning.
Jakkeen Tyrell Turner, 25, was arraigned Thursday on a felony offense of burglary of a habitation charge.
He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke.
According to the arrest affidavit, police responded at 9:44 a.m. Tuesday to the 1200 block of Monroe Loop in Killeen in reference to a disturbance.
When police arrived, the resident told officers, Turner damaged the front door to the house Monday after slapping and choking her, and throwing a brick at her vehicle, shattering its window.
According to the report, the resident told police Turner never lived at the residence and on Feb. 25 he entered without permission Tuesday.
The victim stated in the report that when Turner was told to leave the residence he told her he had a gun and threatened to shoot her and burn the house down if he went to jail.
Turner’s bail is set at $50,000.
