A Killeen man is facing a felony charge after police said he stole property that belonged to another man’s deceased wife.

Thomas Michael Domkoski Jr., 32, was arraigned with a felony burglary of a building charge by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke on Sunday. Cooke set Domkoski’s bail at $50,000.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Second Street in Killeen on Sept. 24 on a report of a theft.

The victim said he was the landlord for the residence, and that items had been stolen from a locked shed he kept on the premises.

He said he recently stored items owned by his deceased wife, including jewelry, china and other personal items in the shed.

Those items were stolen, an arrest affidavit stated.

A witness told police she let Domkoski stay in her garage for a few day after he’d gotten out of jail, the affidavit stated.

While he was staying in the garage, the witness saw Domkoski bring in a plastic container filled with various items. When she asked Domkoski where he got the items, he said he got them from “the getting place.”

The victim eventually identified items as those from the shed, and Domkoski admitted to another witness that he broke into the shed and stole the property, the affidavit stated.
