BELTON — A Killeen man who police say was responsible for the death of 52-year-old Randy Joe Oliver in December was indicted Wednesday by a Bell County grand jury on a charge of murder.
Frankie Boyd III assaulted his roommate and left him bleeding and unconscious in a neighbor’s yard, police said.
When police responded to the area of Libra Drive and Milky Way Avenue about 7 p.m. Dec. 22, they saw Oliver lying face down, unresponsive and bleeding in a neighbor’s front yard. After CPR, he was taken to a hospital. Oliver had broken bones in the face and multiple areas of bleeding in the brain.
Boyd, 22, was arrested on an aggravated assault charge. He told police the man was his roommate, but he got into an argument with him that day, according to an arrest affidavit.
Boyd wrote in a statement to police that he hit the man three times before he took him outside and dropped him in the neighbor’s yard. Police said blood was found in the man’s bedroom.
Also indicted Wednesday in an unrelated case was Eric John Saenz, on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Saenz was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Austin, and wanted for questioning in the death of Jason Francisco Munayco. Munayco was found dead Dec. 9 in the 1300 block of Bonnie Drive.
