CRIME

Two men from Killeen were arrested in Lampasas early Thursday morning.

Vincent Lamar Williams, 31, and Lloyd O’Neal Thomas, 27, were both taken into custody at 1:22 a.m. by Lampasas police for possession of a controlled substance, according to a news release. Both were found with methamphetamine and marijuana.

Williams was also unlawfully carrying a firearm at the time of the arrest, and driving with an invalid license, police said.

Lampasas County Justice of the Peace Andrew Garcia Jr., magistrated both men, meaning he read them the charges against them and set their bond amounts.

Garcia said Williams’ bond was $8,000, while Thomas’ bond was $4,000.

As of Friday, Garcia was not aware whether the men had posted bond or remained in jail.
