Police are pressing felony charges against an 18-year-old Killeen man they said broke into a home to steal women’s underwear.
Christopher William Gregory was charged with burglary of a habitation.
Two females told police they were in a car near their home on Crockett Drive on Monday when they saw a man later identified as Gregory coming out the front door of their house.
Gregory was holding several bras in his hands, and when the woman driving the car honked the horn, he dropped the under garments, ran through the house and out the back door, an arrest affidavit stated.
Gregory jumped a fence and headed toward Patton Drive, where he lives.
The women provided a detailed description of Gregory and his direction of travel. They also gave police a backpack left at the scene.
Inside the backpack, police found a prescription pill bottle with Gregory’s name on it and his home address. Police went to the home and spoke with Gregory’s mother, who told police her son had been known to steal women’s underwear, the affidavit stated.
Investigators found several bras and panties in Gregory’s bedroom. The two women later identified the items as belonging to them, the affidavit stated.
Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke arraigned Gregory on Wednesday, setting his bail at $50,000. He remained in Bell County Jail on Wednesday.
Cooke also arraigned the following:
Cheyenne Prettyflower Warner, 25, on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Warner is accused of stabbing a man in the back Tuesday in Harker Heights. Warner’s bail was set at $100,000.
Christopher William Dech, 27, on a charge of possession of child pornography. Dech’s bail was set at $30,000.
