Killeen police looking for 'armed and dangerous' suspect

Killeen police are searching for a man accused of breaking into a woman’s apartment and holding her at gunpoint for hours.

Courtney Devonee Holloway, 36, forced his way into an apartment at 1107 Leslie Circle Sunday night and threatened the woman living there with a gun, according to the victim’s statement to police. Around 11 a.m. Monday the woman was able to flee the apartment and contact the police, a Killeen Police Department news release stated.

“The Tactical Response Unit was deployed and several occupants in surrounding apartments were evacuated. The Tactical Response Unit entered the apartment but was unable to locate the suspect. It is believed that the suspect fled the apartment prior to the officers’ arrival,” according to KPD.

As of 5 p.m. Monday, police were still searching for Holloway who has “violent tendencies and is considered to be armed and dangerous,” according to the KPD news release. “Do not attempt to apprehend Holloway. If you see him, call the local police.”

Holloway is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Those who know where Holloway may be should contact Crime Stoppers at 254-526-TIPS (8477) or or text BELLCO along with the information to 274637.
