Killeen police looking for suspect in robbery

Killeen police are looking for a man who they said robbed a convenience store.

Officers responded at 10:37 p.m. Jan. 7 to a report the Speedy Pac No. 2 convenience store in the 2700 block of Zephyr Road in Killeen had just been robbed.

According to a statement from the Killeen Police Department, a store employee told officers an armed man entered the store and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect fired a shot in the direction of the clerk and fled the area.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 inches tall, and weighing about 150 to 160 pounds with a “thin build.”

Witnesses told police he was wearing a dark blue or black letterman-style jacket with dark blue sleeves; the jacket had a large “S” on the front.

He was wearing black pants and a tan colored mask showing only his eyes.
