A Killeen man was arraigned on a felony charge Saturday after police said he beat and choked his girlfriend.
According to an arrest affidavit, a woman told police Friday she was attacked by Charles Eric Pasley, 56, during a violent domestic disturbance the day before.
The woman told police the assault took place at Pasley’s home in the 4300 block of Mountain View Drive in Killeen. She said she had been dating Pasley since November, and he had assaulted her before.
She said Pasley grabbed her by the neck and dragged her into the living room. There, he put her in a headlock and forced her into another room, where he punched her, grabbed her hair, threw her to the floor and began choking her with both hands, the affidavit stated. The woman was treated at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights. Police said they observed scratch marks on both sides of the woman’s neck.
Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin arraigned Pasley on a charge of assault by strangulation.
His bail was set at $100,000.
