Killeen police officers are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Friday evening, according to a news release issued by Killeen Police Department spokeswoman Ofelia Miramontez.

According to the release, officers responded to the Star Mart at 3322 E. Rancier Ave., after receiving calls the business had been robbed.

“Officers were told that a male entered the store and displayed a weapon, demanding money from the store clerk,” Miramontez said in the release. “The suspect fled south on 46th Street on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and from the store.”

The suspect was described as a black man about 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark clothing.
