Killeen police arrested a 20-year-old Killeen woman who allegedly broke into a neighbor’s apartment and stole wigs and clothing.

Police charged Jessica Renee Cheeks with burglary of a habitation. Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin arraigned Cheeks on Tuesday and set her bail at $50,000.

Officers learned of the burglary on July 11, when the resident of an apartment in the 3400 block of Atkinson Drive reported that someone had broken into her home, an arrest affidavit stated.

The suspect entered the home by breaking the glass on a back door. The alleged victim reported that several purses, wallets, shoes, clothing and wigs were taken from the home.

On July 21, the victim called police again after Cheeks’ roommate told her Cheeks had her property.

Police said they found several of the stolen items in Cheeks’ apartment.
