A list of 10 fugitives wanted by the Killeen Police Department garnered quite a bit of attention this week.

The original post on the Killeen Police Department’s Facebook page was shared 44 times as of 5 p.m. Wednesday. A story posted on the Herald’s website had 5,317 unique page views, and was shared another 48 times on Facebook.

Killeen police spokeswoman Ofelia Miramontez said the practice of posting these lists is not new. A quick Facebook search revealed that KPD has posted lists of its wanted fugitives on its Facebook page since at least 2014.

The list will be updated and reposted as fugitives are arrested, Miramontez said.

The last time KPD released a list of wanted fugitives was Oct. 31. Among the people on the list was Lazarus Daquan Bush, the 17-year-old wanted for several aggravated robberies and burglaries. He was arrested after a SWAT raid on a home on Cantabrian Drive.

The list of fugitives changes from month to month. The most recent wanted fugitives list is different from the list posted in October.
