Killeen police are seeking the public's help in finding two men involved in an armed robbery that occurred in early October.
According to police, on Oct. 8, two armed men entered the Mickey's Convenience Store located at the intersection of Trimmier Road and Illinois Avenue just after 1 a.m.
The suspects were armed with a machete and a rifle, according to Killeen Police Department spokeswoman Carroll Smith.
The suspects are described as a tall, skinny black man, who was armed with the rifle, and a Hispanic man, who wielded the machete.
During the robbery, the Hispanic man wore a dark-colored, hooded sweatshirt with white designs, blue and white basketball shorts and a blue bandana across the lower part of his face, Smith said.
The black man wore a black, hooded sweatshirt, jean shorts and a bandana hiding his face.
The two men demanded money from the cashier, robbed patrons and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police are asking anyone with knowledge about the robbers or crime to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-TIPS (8477), www.killeencrimestoppers.com or text KILLEEN along with the tip to CRIMES (274634). Tips leading to an arrest are eligible for a $1,000 reward. All tips can be anonymous.
