A man was arraigned on a burglary of a habitation charge after attempting to kick down the door of a Killeen residence.

Officers responded to a call of a domestic disturbance Sunday in the 800 block of Houston Street. Upon arrival, the officer saw Jacob Ryan Stamper, 37, standing in front of the residence.

Stamper appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and wanted to fight a man inside the residence, according to an arrest affidavit.

The homeowner said she tried to close the door to prevent Stamper from entering without her permission, but he threatened to break down the door several times, the affidavit stated. Stamper kicked the door several times before finally forcing it open and pushing another resident inside the home. The officer noticed damage to the door.

Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin arraigned Stamper on Tuesday, setting his bail at $50,000.

Potvin also arraigned Bobbi Andrea Jarvis, 29, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram. Potvin set her bail at $20,000.

Coryell County Justice of the Peace John Guinn on Tuesday arraigned Brittney Nicole O’Brien on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram, and a misdemeanor charge of burglary of a vehicle. Guinn set her bond at $11,000.
