Killeen police charged a 23-year-old man with sexual assault after he allegedly raped a woman in July, they said.
Ronny Lee Cade was being held in Bell County Jail on the charge, a second-degree felony. Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin arraigned Cade on Friday, setting his bail at $75,000.
The charge stems from an incident that occurred the morning of July 5 in the 3800 block of Turner Avenue.
Police were called to the home and met with a woman who said Cade had entered her room, placed a blanket over her head and restrained her while raping her.
She identified Cade by name, telling police she had known him for two years.
Potvin also arraigned the following Friday on unrelated charges:
- Trequan Shavae Locke, 19, on a charge of possession of marijuana, 5 pounds or less but more than 4 ounces. Locke’s bond was set at $35,000.
- Jeremy Randall Ezell, 24, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams. Randall’s bond was set at $30,000.
- Jarrad Sonny Liston Maryboy, 24, on a charge of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger. Maryboy’s bond was set at $20,000.
