Killeen police arrested a 49-year-old man they said was selling illegal copies of DVD movies.

Police charged Garry Grant with “labeling” after a person contacted the police department Tuesday claiming Grant had two stolen video game systems he was attempting to sell on Craigslist, the affidavit stated.

Police found Grant driving in a van near the intersection of 38th Street and East Veterans Memorial Boulevard and initiated a traffic stop.

After Grant gave permission to officers to search the van, police found two video game systems and a box of compact discs organized and labeled in a manner that made it appear as though Grant intended to sell them.

When questioned, Grant told police he made copies of movies on his computer and intended to sell them. In total, police found 167 DVDs in the trunk of his van.

Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin arraigned Grant on Thursday, setting his bail at $50,000.

Potvin also arraigned Charles Stephen Harper, 19, on an unrelated charge of burglary of a building. Harper’s bail was set at $50,000.
