A 26-year-old woman is facing a felony charge after Killeen police said she stole jewelry from her mother.

Ashley Mendoza was arraigned Friday on a charge of theft, more than $1,500, by Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin.

According to an arrest affidavit, Mendoza’s mother said her daughter took several items of jewelry from her and pawned them. The total value of the items was not stated, but police said their worth exceeded $1,500.

Mendoza voluntarily came to police and admitted stealing her mother’s jewelry between April and June.

Potvin set Mendoza’s bail at $20,000.

Potvin also arraigned the following individuals on unrelated charges Friday:

Veronica Sally-Ann Williams, 46, on a charge of debit card abuse. Williams’ bail was set at $20,000.

Martin Juarez-Nieto, 42, on a charge of possession of cocaine, less than 1 gram. Juarez-Nieto’s bail was set at $20,000.

Anthony Gregory Trent Jr., 35, on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Trent’s bail was set at $50,000.
