Harker Heights Fire Department is receiving aid from the Killeen Fire Marshal´s Office, State Fire Marshal´s Office and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to investigate a blaze that burnt a Spirit Halloween store to the ground Monday morning.

The fire department is not ruling out the possibility of arson, Harker Heights Fire Chief Jack Collier said.

At 1:32 a.m. Monday, the HHFD responded to a fire at 701 Indian Trail in Harker Heights. Smoke and flames were visible when the fire department arrived at the scene.

Five minutes after the fire department´s arrival, a wall collapsed, and the rest of the building collapsed shortly thereafter.

The building was previously home to Hollywood Video, but was leased by Nightmares Unlimited for the Spirit Halloween location for the holiday´s season.

The fire was under control at 3:05 a.m. and remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about the fire should contact Harker Heights Police Department (254) 953-5400 or the HHFD.

Read KDH tomorrow for more information.
