A 41-year-old man faces a felony charge after he allegedly shot at a woman who gave him a ride home.
The incident occurred March 5 when the woman said she gave the man, identified as Keith Howard Bunce, a ride home from a bar. According to an arrest affidavit, the trouble started when the woman was outside Bunce’s apartment and had to forcibly remove him from her car.
As they pulled away from his apartment, the woman and two witnesses in the car with her heard gunshots.
Police later found a bullet hole in the woman’s car. Bunce told police he fired in the direction of the vehicle to scare away the vehicle’s occupants.
Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke arraigned Bunce on Thursday on a charge of deadly conduct. His bail was set at $50,000.
Cooke also arraigned the following individuals on unrelated charges:
Christopher Nicholas Brant, 28, on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, less than 1 gram. Brant’s bail was set at $20,000.
Angelica Hernandez, 18, on a charge of burglary of a habitation. Hernandez’s bail was set at $50,000.
Daniel Leblanc Magee, 26, on a charge of possession of cocaine, less than 1 gram. Magee’s bail was set at $20,000.
