BELTON — A Bell County grand jury indicted a 27-year-old Nolanville man Wednesday who is accused of committing three felonies in the span of one month.

Nicholas Guarnieri III was indicted on two charges of burglary of a habitation and one charge of aggravated robbery.

Because of a previous conviction for burglary of a habitation in 2007, Guarnieri faces a minimum of 15 years in jail and up to life in prison if convicted of all charges.

On April 2, Guarnieri and another Nolanville man broke into a home in Belton and stole jewelry, a handgun and electronics, according to an indictment. His accomplice in both home burglaries, 24-year-old Kyle Henry Alexander of Nolanville, also was indicted Wednesday on a charge of burglary of a habitation.

Five days later, Guarnieri robbed a Cefco Convenience Store in the 900 block of East Central Avenue in Belton.

According to an arrest affidavit, he told a clerk he wanted to buy a carton of cigarettes April 7. Guarnieri then took out a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money.

Two weeks later, Guarnieri allegedly broke into a home in Harker Heights. A pawn receipt from that home burglary ultimately led to his and Alexander’s arrest.

Detectives in Belton connected him with the home burglary there, and eventually realized he was in surveillance footage from the Cefco robbery.

Guarnieri confessed to all three crimes, arrest affidavits stated. He remains in Bell County Jail.
