A man allegedly punched, kicked and stomped on his girlfriend after going through her phone and discovering numbers he didn’t recognize.

A woman picked up her boyfriend, Jakorrium Kendrale Johnson, and the couple drove to her residence at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Once inside, the woman said Johnson, 20, started going through her phone.

When Johnson asked the woman about phone numbers he didn’t recognize, the woman said she didn’t want to argue and went into the bathroom, according to an arrest affidavit.

The woman said Johnson barged in after her, closed his fists and began punching her in the head and ribs.

After a couple of punches, the woman said she fell onto the ground in a fetal position, trying to protect herself. But Johnson began kicking her and stomping her with both of his feet, the affidavit stated. Johnson finally stopped beating her and the couple went to the store.

When they returned to her residence, the woman ran inside her home and locked Johnson out. During that time, she called police and told them she was fearful for her life because Johnson had been abusing her for a while, the affidavit stated.

When officers spoke with the woman, she was visibly distraught and crying. The officer saw a fresh abrasion that was bleeding on top of the woman’s forehead near her hairline as well as a bruised left eye, the affidavit stated.

Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke arraigned Johnson on a charge of assault with bodily injury, setting his bail at $5,000.

In separate incidences, Cooke also arraigned:

  • Jack Lee Clearihue, 25, on a charge of assault, setting his bail at $50,000.
  • Jose Valenzuela, 19, on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, less than 1 gram, setting his bail at $20,000.
  • Justina Marie Spada, 24, on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, less than 1 gram, setting her bail at $20,000.

"Johnson finally stopped beating her and the couple went to the store."

It's startling how many times something like this is in police reports... And no one in the store noticed anything wrong...
