Jerald Lamon Reed was arraigned on a charge of possession of cocaine in an amount of less than 1 gram Thursday.

Reed, 40, was stopped by a Killeen police officer June 3 after he failed to signal a turn in the 3300 block of Westrim Drive, according to an arrest affidavit.

The officer observed that Reed’s driver’s license was expired, and found a pill bottle under the driver seat of the vehicle. The bottle contained a white, rocklike substance, according to the affidavit. The substance field tested positive as cocaine, and weighed 0.2 grams with packaging, the affidavit stated.

Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke set Reed’s bail at $20,000.
