Killeen police arrested a 17-year-old man they believe committed multiple burglaries.
Police charged Aumunique Rashad Whitehead with two charges of burglary of a habitation. He is accused of breaking into two homes on Woodrow Drive in Killeen in the past two months.
According to arrest affidavits, police arrested Whitehead following a car chase in a stolen vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Frederick Lamonte Miller Jr., 20, was charged with evading arrest and arraigned Wednesday.
Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin arraigned Whitehead on Thursday, setting his total bond at $100,000.
Police detained Whitehead after a high-speed chase ended with Miller and Whitehead abandoning a stolen Volvo on Hitchrock Drive.
While in custody, Whitehead told police he broke into an apartment in the 3700 block of Woodrow Drive Friday and took a key to the Volvo and stole the car.
He also confessed to an Aug. 13 burglary in the 3800 block of Woodrow Drive in which he stole a computer, cellphone cases and shoes.
Whitehead told police he sold the phone cases and shoes on Facebook.
