A man is facing felony charges for two thefts at a Copperas Cove Wal-Mart.
Juan Antonio Gonzalez was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Jon Guinn on Tuesday on two counts of theft, less than $1,500.
Copperas Cove police arrested Gonzalez after the store’s loss prevention personnel saw him and a woman take items from the store and put them in a purse. Those items included spark plugs, wood stain and a DVD movie, according to an arrest affidavit.
Gonzalez also was charged with a theft at the same Wal-Mart on Friday. On that day, the staff observed a Hispanic man and woman take several items and leave the store without paying for them.
Those items included a subwoofer speaker, floor mats and a Shammy. The total cost of the items was $125.74.
The affidavit also stated Gonzalez had two previous theft convictions in 2010 and 2006 in Hildago County.
Guinn set Gonzalez’s bail at $20,000.
