Killeen police are investigating the city’s second homicide in two days.
Lorenzo Dominic Fagan, 23, of Killeen, died Saturday after police found him with gunshot wounds inside his home in the 500 block of Deloris Drive.
Officers were dispatched to the scene after neighbors reported shots fired just before 2 p.m. Saturday. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced Fagan dead at 2:47 p.m. and ordered an autopsy by the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas, according to a news release from the Killeen Police Department.
Little about the crime was known Saturday afternoon. Police did not release any information about a suspect in the city’s sixth homicide this year.
Meanwhile, Killeen police continue to search for a man wanted in Friday’s stabbing death of 30-year-old Danielle Acosta-Guerrero.
Police described David Michael Vega, a 28-year-old Fort Hood soldier, as a white man, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen driving a gold 1997 Jeep Cherokee with whitewall tires and Texas license plate number CY6K158. Authorities consider Vega armed and dangerous.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about Vega’s whereabouts or Saturday’s shooting to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477, go to www.killeencrimestoppers.com or text KILLEEN along with the tip to 274637. All tips remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.
