Antonio Antwone Hodges, 24, was arraigned Tuesday by Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin on a felony charge of forgery.

According to an arrest affidavit, Hodges attempted to pass a check for $500 on Jan. 22. That check was reported stolen from another person’s home. The victim told police that he did not write a check to Hodges and did not give anyone permission to write the check, according to the affidavit.

Potvin set Hodges’ bail at $20,000.

In an unrelated case, Potvin also arraigned Charlene Cassandra Capps, 30, on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Potvin set Capps’ bail at $20,000.
