Bell County Organized Crime Task Force officers arrested a 58-year-old Killeen man they say was in possession of methamphetamine.

Authorities charged John Vincent Manibusan with possession of methamphetamine, less than 1 gram.

An arrest affidavit stated the task force searched Manibusan’s residence on Friday after obtaining a warrant. Inside, they found a white substance that field-tested positive as methamphetamine.

Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin arraigned Manibusan on Sunday and set his bail at $25,000.

Coryell County

Justice of the Peace Bill Price arraigned Gilberto Isaac Sanchez on Thursday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram. Price set Sanchez’s bond at $5,000. Police said they found methamphetamine in Sanchez’s car after he was arrested for allegedly having drug paraphernalia, found during a traffic stop, an arrest affidavit stated.

Price arraigned Robert Lyle Guthrie, 42, on Sunday on a charge of theft of a firearm. Price set his bond at $7,000. According to an arrest affidavit, Guthrie allegedly took a weapon from a friend’s vehicle and put it in his own. The weapon reportedly was later found under a rear seat in Guthrie’s car.
