BELTON -- A jury took about 90 minutes to sentence convicted murderer Mario Lamont Lewis to life in prison.

Lewis showed little emotion when presiding Judge Martha Trudo read the verdict this morning at the Bell County Courthouse. The jury convicted Lewis of the 2011 slaying of 32-year-old Lynn Wilford.

Lewis, 41, was portrayed as a gang member who murdered Wilford execution style during an altercation outside of a duplex located in the 200 block of East Garrison Avenue in Killeen.

Lewis will be eligible for parole in 30 years.
