Man pleads guilty to Killeen bank robbery

BELTON – A Killeen man pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to the armed robbery of a local bank last year.

Anthony Xavier Taylor, 31, pleaded to a first degree felony count of aggravated robbery before Bell County 426th District Court Judge Fancy Jezek.

Taylor, clad in a mask and sunglasses, used a gun to rob the Broadway National Bank at the intersection of Fort Hood Street and Central Texas Expressway July 31, 2013.

His sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 30. Read more in tomorrow's Killeen Daily Herald.
