A masked man robbed Broadway Bank in Killeen on Thursday afternoon.

The bank, located at the intersection of Fort Hood Street and Central Texas Expressway was robbed about 4:25 p.m.

The suspect was completely covered by clothing during the robbery. He wore a white ski mask over his face, a beanie hat over his head, sunglasses, a long-sleeved blue shirt and blue gloves.

He entered the business, displayed a hand gun and demanded money from a teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, he fled in a red pickup truck, according to police.

It is the first bank robbery in Killeen this year. The last reported bank robbery was Nov. 28, when a man robbed the Heart of Texas Federal Credit Union on South Fort Hood Street.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477, go to www.bellcountycrimestoppers.com or text BELLCO along with the tip to 274637.

All tips are confidential and can be made anonymously. A tipster who leads police to arrest the suspect may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
