Three men are behind bars after Bell County sheriff’s deputies said they stole and damaged a motorcycle.

Ford Bolkenstyn 18, of Killeen; John Lee Bowman, 36, of Belton; and Martin Elder Ramming, 45, of Belton, were arrested Monday, and face charges of theft of a motorcycle and criminal mischief.

Witnesses told police they saw the three men steal a motorcycle from a residence near Standard Loop and Farm-to-Market 2410 south of U.S. Highway 190 in Bell County, according to a statement from the Bell County Sheriff’s Department.

The witnesses told investigators they saw the men hide the motorcycle in the woods.

The three men were located Monday and arrested.

Further investigation revealed they also attempted to steal gasoline from a vehicle by drilling a hole in the tank, according to the department statement.

The three men were in possession of a trailer that had its vehicle identification number removed.

The motorcycle was returned to the owner. Sheriff’s investigators are attempting to identify the owner of the trailer.
