COPPERAS COVE — Police on Tuesday arrested two men suspected of stealing doors from a vacant house.

Justice of the Peace Bill Price arraigned Trey Joseph Juarez and Andrew Joshua Fenderson on charges of burglary of a building. Price set their bonds at $5,000 each, but did not require that the two be held in Coryell County Jail.

About 9 a.m. Tuesday, a witness told officers a home was being burglarized in the 800 block of Michelle Drive.

When officers responded, they discovered a truck in the driveway and a back door open, the arrest affidavit stated.

As an officer waited at the open door, Juarez and Fenderson allegedly exited the home, the affidavit stated. During an interview, one of the men admitted they were stealing the doors from the vacant home because their “buddy” was moving and lived on the same street.
