Killeen police have release new photos of man wanted in a local shooting that claimed the life a security guard.
Police responded to the Subway Restaurant at 1100 Old FM 440 on Feb. 26 at 3:42 a.m., after receiving a 911 call about a robbery.
When police arrived they security guard William Petty, 58, with a gunshot wound. He was immediately taken to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple in critical condition where he died.
A preliminary investigation revealed the suspected shooter entered the restaurant wearing a ski mask.
“The security guard on duty approached the suspect and words were exchanged.
After words were exchanged, the victim was fatally shot,” according to a Killeen Police Department news release.
The suspect is described as a male of dark complexion, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8.
At the time of the shooting, the suspect was wearing a dark gray sweatshirt, black shorts with red and white trim and white tennis shoes.
The new photos released by police on Wednesday show the suspect entering the Subway.
