A car chase ended in a crash and two arrests Tuesday morning in Killeen, police said.

The chase started around 4:30 a.m. when police saw a man driving a car at a “high rate of speed,” said Killeen Police Department spokeswoman Carroll Smith.

Police pursued the vehicle until it ran off the road along Creek Creek Road near the airport.

The man driving the car was charged with evading police, and a woman in the car had outstanding warrants and was also arrested, Smith said.

Police did not immediately release the names of the people arrested.
