A man running for a Nolanville City Council position was arrested earlier this week, and two police officers were injured during the arrest, police said.

Robert L. Meeks Jr., 37, was arrested at his residence in the 300 block of Nolan Ridge Drive following a domestic call just after 1 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Nolanville Police Department news release issued Friday.

embarrassing . What family with children wants to move to place like that. The city should be more particular who they hire for any job actually...

@Clayton: The story does indeed contain information on Aviles in paragraph six-

Meeks is running in the Nov. 6 election against Randy Sammons and Duane G. Hampton for Seat 4 on the Nolanville council. Hampton was appointed to Seat 4 last November after Councilman Miguel A. Aviles resigned from office.

You were telling us about members of the Nolanville governing and candidates for office. You gave us a name, Aviles, and a crime but you didn't tell us who this person is or what post he/she held.
Your story is incomplete without this information. Please, complete the story.
        Thank you.

Good grief...what is it with Nolanville? I've heard of corrupt cities, but this place goes over the top!
