A 34-year-old fugitive from Harker Heights was arrested Thursday following a car and foot chase.

Officers from the Bell County Organized Crime Unit and U.S. Marshals’ Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Kendrick Shoemo on Thursday.

Shoemo was wanted on a Florida warrant on a charge of distribution of cocaine. However, Bell County investigators had been investigating him for selling cocaine and marijuana in the Killeen area.

Police found more than a pound of marijuana on Shoemo and at his residence. Police also found half an ounce of cocaine, three firearms and numerous items that had been reported stolen.

Shoemo is being held in Bell County Jail with no bail set.
