A Killeen man was arraigned Thursday after police found what they believed to be cocaine in his room at a local hotel.

According to an arrest affidavit, Shane Travez Johnson was arrested after Killeen police searched his room at Economy Hotel on East Veterans Memorial Boulevard Tuesday night and found approximately 3.1 grams of what they believed to be crack cocaine.

According to the affidavit, police approached Johnson in the hotel’s parking lot and searched him. After finding a “large amount” of cash in his pocket, police then searched Johnson’s room and discovered several pieces of crack cocaine in the sink and drain, the affidavit states.

Justice of the Peace Bill Cook arraigned Johnson on Thursday, setting his bail at $20,000.
